Here's the Hilarious George Lucas Version of the 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Trailer

Everybody has had some criticism of the new "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" trailer, it seems. Whether it's die-hard fans complaining about the not-so-functional crossguard lightsaber or racists who are overly concerned with why there's a black Stormtrooper, it seems there's something for everyone to be upset about.

We should all take a moment, though, and realize that if George Lucas had directed this new movie, it would all be so much worse.

This parody video imagines what a "George Lucas Special Edition" version of the new trailer would look like, and to be honest it's pretty accurate.

That sweeping, dramatic shot of John Boyega alone in the desert is now filled with CGI creatures. The ghost of a young Anakin Skywalker appears in the forest next to that mysterious Sith. There are alien lounge singers and Jabba himself wandering about the desert.

Oh, and the swarm of TIE fighters, and of course a few extra lightsaber blades. Less is more, you say? Not to George Lucas.

The only thing that would have made the video more accurate is if the title had exploded with a fancy shock wave.
