Here's the ACTUAL First Teaser for 'American Horror Story: Freak Show'

Here's the ACTUAL First Teaser for 'American Horror Story: Freak Show' A while back, we got all excited because a video claiming to be the first teaser for "American Horror Story: Freak Show" came out, and it was really cool.

But as it turned out, that trailer was just a fan-made video, and while it was very well produced, it wasn't officially from the show or the FX network. So, we waited on.

Now, finally, FX has released the first official teaser trailer for the new "American Horror Story" season. And it's...short.

The video doesn't use a creepy version of a pop song like some other seasons have, but opts instead for some moody background music with a plinking piano. The visuals are simple: An alien-looking hand holds out an "Admit One" ticket that features the name of the show and season. After a few moments, the hand retreats.

We're going to assume that this isn't a reference to aliens, but rather to one of the strange creatures that might exist in the titular "Freak Show." Then again, the synopsis from FX is vague about a few details:

"American Horror Story: Freak Show begins its tale in the quiet, sleepy hamlet of Jupiter, Florida. The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience."

Which "dark entity" are they talking about? Is that a reference to the serial killer clown, or something even more sinister?
