'Hell's Kitchen' Season 9, Episode 10 Recap - '8 Chefs Compete' Were you upset that you couldn't get your "Hell's Kitchen" fix last Tuesday? If so, then last night's two-hour Ramsay-fest must have made you pretty happy. Before the mega-episode began, we were reminded of the shocking elimination of Jamie, and how it will take nothing short of an act of God to get Elise or Carrie eliminated.

Nobody is more upset than Jennifer, who complains that she has "Larry, Moe and Curly" on her team. She's truly screwed. How did she get stuck with all of these boneheads?

It's taste-test time! Tommy and Carrie are up first, and both strike out on anchovies...Tommy thinks they're sardines (not a bad guess) and Carrie thinks they're salmon (you are so, so bad at this). Tommy think a carrot is a radish, and an egg yolk is a potato. But somehow he gets mango. What?

Will and Elizabeth are up next and both whiff on cauliflower, lobster and pumpkin. Will somehow gets mushy peas, though, a much better showing that Elizabeth's heming and hawing for about a half an hour. No wonder this is a two-hour event. Jennifer and Paul mostly strike out, but Jen gets cheddar cheese.

Natalie and Elise are up, and Elise manages to tie things up by guessing filet mignon. Things are all tied up, but Natalie guesses creme fraiche instead of sour cream...and Elise nails it. Good, let's listen to Elise brag about her 3 for 4 performance all day.

The red team's reward is to take a horseback ride up the Hollywood hills while the guys sort, de-seed and peel 200 pounds of grapes for tonight's steakhouse theme night. But a little too much drinking leads to a spat later that night in the dorm between (you guessed it) Carrie and Elise. This season is a one-trick pony, folks.

The restaurant is overbooked with all those extras that the show hired on to overbook the place, so one team is going to cook while the other serves, and then the teams will switch. The red team will serve first while the blue team cooks. I pity the tables that have Elise has a server. Ramsay doesn't like dealing with her either, as she's writing up the tickets wrong.

Tommy is still incapable of communicating, but finally manages to get all the appetizers out...one hour into dinner service. Things don't go any better later as Natalie continuously puts out overcooked steak. When her pan lights on fire, Ramsay dumps it in the sink (aren't you not supposed to do that?) and shuts everything down, with five tickets still remaining.

When the teams switch up, Tommy unsurprisingly has trouble writing up tickets, dealing with customers or generally doing anything right. The ladies are cooking fine until they get to the entrees and Elise undercooks the bass...but that's nothing compared to Carrie's meltdown on garnishes. Then Elise drops a piece of bass. Good, at least the right people are screwing up here.

In the debriefing, Ramsay tells Elise she has a "bright future in this industry...as a customer!" Good one, Chef. Neither team finished, so neither team wins. Each team must now nominate one person to go home. The red team decides pretty quickly on Carrie, but the blue team has a bit of a tougher decision. Should Tommy go for his lack of communication, or should Natalie go for her meltdown on meat?

Ultimately, the team goes with Tommy, as his lack of communication screwed up dinner services more than once. But Ramsay ends up going with Carrie...he tells her she has a great spirit, but needs "more time to grow." It's probably the nicest Ramsay's been to anyone so far. We're getting to the point where we get full-on montages with our eliminations...so enjoy the clip package of Carrie making her chipmunk faces.

A cliffhanger! After Carrie leaves, Ramsay tells Elise to take off her jacket...is she going home? Switching teams? Find out in the next episode of this two-parter!
