Hawaii Five-0 Season 1 Episode 12 - Hana 'a' Makehewa Recap

Hawaii Five-0 Season 1 Episode 12 Recap Last night on Hawaii Five-O the episode started off quite unexpectedly. We see one of our favorite crime fighters, Chin (Daniel Dae Kim) with a bomb strapped around his neck. Then the episode starts over from 24 hours before that moment. I love when episodes do this and make you wonder how everything got to that point.

Our big bad guy of the day turns out to be someone Steve (Alex O'Loughlon) had already killed. Or so he thought. It's the man who killed his father in the first episode. This fuels Steve even more to catch the guy and save his friend so another person he cares for doesn't die at the hands of this madman.

The team ends up actually stealing money from a secret police evidence locker in order to pay the large ransom. Completely illegal yes, but they were desperate. It's something probably most anyone would have done in the given situation, right? Anyway, they use the money to pay off the bad guy and he ends up just throwing it in a fire. Steve cringes at the sight of the money burning and when Grace arrives she doesn't know what they're gonna end up doing about it. The bad guy is beaten down and goes to jail but the cliffhanger leaves us wondering what will happen next. The Iron Chef America announcer appears at the jail to talk with the bad guys and asks how close Steve is to finding out the truth about the investigation his father was in the middle of before his death. The bad guys says "too close."

So obviously next week we should look forward to learning more about the mysterious death of Steve's mother and perhaps what really happened!
