Gym, Tan, Run! It's a 'Jersey Shore Shark Attack!'

Gym, Tan, Run! It's a 'Jersey Shore Shark Attack!' Hate orange-skinned bouffant-wielding Snooki? Do you hope "The Situation" on "Jersey Shore" is that the whole cast takes a long walk off a short pier? Well, we can't offer you that, but how about the next best thing, a "Jersey Shore Shark Attack!"

Yeah, that's right, the tanned and toned guidos and guidettes are about to be torn apart and devoured by man-eating sharks for your viewing pleasure.

EW is reporting today that Syfy has officially started production on the film with "Tony Sirico (Paulie Walnuts on 'The Sopranos'), Paul Sorvino (Paul Cicero in 'Goodfellas'), Jack Scalia ('Dallas'), Joey Fatone (‘N Sync) and William Atherton ('Die Hard')."

The cast of human shark bait will be joined by actual "Jersey Shore" cast member Vinny Guadagnino.

Check out a plot synopsis from the upcoming film, which will air sometime during the summer.

Jersey Shore Shark Attack unfolds during the July Fourth weekend at – where else? — the Jersey Shore, where rare swarms of sharks are converging due to illegal underwater drilling. Now the angry sharks are on a rampage, devouring residents, and leaving it up to the locals to try and save the day. Sirico is Captain Sallie, the wise veteran of boardwalk life and lore. Scalia is Moretti, former Guido beach bum and now police chief.  Sorvino portrays the possibly corrupt Mayor and Atherton is the greedy developer Dolan, who wants to tear down the boardwalk to build a luxury resort where the Guidos will not be welcome. Vinny Guadagnino plays the on-scene reporter Conte and Joey Fatone appears as himself.”
