'Harry Potter Experience' Opens in Times Square, Dumbledore and Hagrid in Attendance

It's every "Harry Potter" fan's dream to walk through the halls of Hogwarts, and for a short time in Times Square, they can!

"The Harry Potter Experience" arrived in New York yesterday, with the stars of the movie series in attendance. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson weren't there, but Michael Gambon (Dumbledore), Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid), Bonnie Wright (Ginny) and others were there.

The exhibition, which it set up at the Discovery Times Square building, features original sets, props and costumes from the "Harry Potter" movies.

Fans can walk through the reconstructed Great Hall or Dumbledore's office, toss the quaffle around on the quidditch pitch, and take a stroll through the Forbidden Forest. Attendees can even be sorted by the Sorting Hat!

Additionally, the exhibit features an audio tour that takes you behind the scenes with commentary from the people who created the costumes, sets and props on display.

Yesterday only provided a sneak peek at the exhibition, but today marks the opening to the public.

You can visit the Discovery Times Square website for tickets (individual adult tickets are $25) if you want to catch the last North American stop of the touring exhibition!
