'Harry Potter' Author J.K. Rowling Might Write Another HP Book: 'Never Say Never,' She Says

The many Potter fans crowding at the London premiere of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" were probably already having a great day, but author J.K. Rowling gave them something else to be excited about: the possibility of a new Harry Potter book!

As Rowling and the three stars of the movie (Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson) addressed the crowd at the huge premiere event, Rowling dropped some tantalizing hints about her willingness to continue the book series. "It is my baby and if I want to bring it out to play again I will," Rowling teased. "Never say never."

So there you go, Potter fans. We need not lose hope yet! Although this could pose a problem for future movies as the stars have said that they would not be likely to return in the series continued on.

However, there's no indication that, if Rowling wrote another book, it would take place in the same time period that Harry, Ron and Hermione live in. Rowling could easily write a prequel about the first war against Voldemort...sort of like The Hobbit to The Lord of the Rings.

Or, Rowling could write a book that takes place further in the future and doesn't focus on Harry, Ron and Hermione, in the hopes that the stars could be coaxed back into lesser roles with less of a time commitment.

The final movie (or is it?) opens nationwide next week, and you can see some preview clips here. You can also check out a re-broadcast of the red carpet premiere in London!
