Harrison Ford: Shia LaBeouf is a 'F***ing Idiot'

Harrison Ford claims he's thrown some insults at "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" star Shia LaBoeuf. And I'm not talking about calling him a "nerfherder," either.

Last year, Shia did a little bad-mouthing of the fourth installment in the "Indiana Jones" series, "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." The incident happened at the 2010 Cannes film festival, when Shia said that everyone on the project, including himself, had "dropped the ball."

What is it with people saying dumb things at Cannes? Shia and Lars Von Trier should hang out.

In an interview with Details, Harrison Ford recalled the sage words that he gave Shia after that PR slip-up. "I think I told him he was a f**king idiot," Ford said.

But Ford had a few kind things to say now, after the fact. "Shia is ambitious, attentive and talented," said Ford, "and he's learning how to deal with a situation which is very unique and difficult."

For the record, Shia claims that Ford actually gave him the thumbs-up for being honest and speaking his mind...which kind of makes Ford look like he didn't support the movie either, so way to keep on digging that hole, Shia.

LaBeouf also trashed "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" in an interview, saying that he "wasn't impressed" by it. Then just recently, he noted in an interview that he and Megan Fox hooked up while filming the first "Transformers" movie. Shortly after, LaBoeuf admitted that he probably shouldn't have said that.

Granted, when LaBeouf has trashed his own movies, he usually tries to lay the blame on himself. But the fact remains that part of being a big-time Hollywood actor is promoting your movie like it's the newest, most fantastic product. Negative words from the movie's own star can hurt sales anywhere down the line, from box office receipts to Blu-Ray sales.

The "Transformers" star has admitted that he needs to learn to edit himself. Now's a good time to start, Shia...because if you tell us later that you also hooked up with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, I'm gonna punch you right in the LaBeouf.
