Harrison Ford Seriously Injured After Crashing Plane Into Los Angeles Golf Course

Harrison Ford is currently being treated for serious injuries after crashing a plane in the Los Angeles area.
The "Star Wars" actor, who is a trained pilot and flies often in his spare time, was piloting a WWII-era plane when he crashed into the Penmar Golf Course in Los Angeles, near the Santa Monica Airport, this afternoon.
Ford reportedly sustained major injuries, but was luckily treated quickly as there were doctors present on the golf course who provided emergency aid. Ford was later transported by emergency workers to a nearby hospital where he continues to be treated for his injuries, including lacerations on his head.
Ford recently finished filming for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," in which he will be reprising his role as Han Solo. Production had been rescheduled after Ford sustained an injury on set thanks to a malfunction of one of the set pieces. Ford was also rumored to be in consideration to appear in an upcoming Indiana Jones sequel in development.
The LAPD held a preliminary press conference and did not confirm, for privacy reasons, that it was indeed Ford who was involved in the accident, but they did confirm that the victim of the crash was in "fair to moderate condition" at the hospital.
