Harrison Ford to Return to 'Star Wars?'

More confusing news about the Disney/LucasFilms merger… are we happy? Are we sad? Are we... worried?

What we do know is a new “Star Wars” is already in the mix… despite the uncertainty that seems to be inflicting the die-hardest of the fans.

“Star Wars: Episode 7” will be made, whether we love it or abhor it.

But maybe this will help:

Despite a long history of an open hatred for his role as Han Solo, Harrison Ford has reportedly expressed interest in coming back to the big screen to reprise his smart-alecky character.

The reports say a “source close to the actor,” so… honestly, this could mean anyone. This could be his mailman. However that source insists that Ford is “open to the idea of doing the movie,” and “upbeat about it.”

Apparently, Ford has one stipulation: Han Solo has to die.

Harsh.

But Han Solo was originally supposed to die in “The Return of the Jedi,” right? This man keeps defying death from all directions, maybe it's time to just off him for good.

Will the 70-year-old actor be taking to the screen again? Undetermined. But if Ford gets back up there, it seems a very good possibility we’ll be seeing Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill right next to him.

There’s also a rumor that “X-Men: First Class” director Matthew Vaughn is in the running to direct the film.

Since the movie’s only a fledgling idea at this point, it’s best not to get too excited about who will star and who will direct…right?

But seriously, how cool would that be.
