Hacker Posts Coming-Out Letter on Zach Braff's Website, Braff Covers With Class

Hacker Posts Coming-Out Letter on Zach Braff's Website, Braff Covers With Class Zach Braff's character of J.D. on "Scrubs" always had some bromantic tendencies (to say the least), but Braff himself is straight and currently dating his model girlfriend Taylor Bagley. For a short time today, though, his website said otherwise.

"I have been hiding a secret inside me for too long," read a letter to fans posted on Braff's website. "The human mind can only bare so much before it explodes in emotions, and well ... it is time to let the world know.  I am excited and proud to announce that I am an open member of the homosexual community."

Big news, right? The thing is, Braff didn't post that letter. A hacker took over Braff's site and posted the letter as a practical joke...hence the spelling error and awkward grammar.

A pretty juvenile joke, to be sure, but it can be tricky to cover something like this for a celeb. There's a fine line between denying that you're gay and saying something to imply that you're offended that someone would accuse you. But Braff covered with class, and a touch of humor.

On his Facebook page, Braff posted, "My old website got hacked. Someone issued a 'coming out' statement on my behalf. I'm still straight and in love with my girlfriend. But not too straight; I still love musicals, brunch and Doogie Howser."

But that wasn't Braff's only comment on the matter. "This song is my official statement," he posted, with a link to this video:
