Gwyneth Paltrow Reveals She Miscarried Her Last Child, Nearly Died

Iron Man 3” actress Gwyneth Paltrow opened up for the first time today about the miscarriage she experienced with what would have been her third child.

In an interview with You magazine, Paltrow revealed that she had been pregnant a third time but “nearly died” and lost her baby.

Paltrow has an eight-year-old daughter, Apple, and a six-year-old son, Moses.

"My children ask me to have a baby all the time. And you never know, I could squeeze one more in. I am missing my third. I’m thinking about it," Paltrow says. “But I had a really bad experience when I was pregnant with my third. It didn’t work out and I nearly died. So I am like, 'Are we good here or should we go back and try again?'"

Paltrow has already said, "My brain says, 'Oh, I think I'm done, the kids are so big now, and I don't want to go back to changing diapers…But a part of me would love to have another. Of course, I'm old now!"

Though she may be 40 (can you believe it?) and considering herself "old", what is encouraging her to consider another? Baby Blue Ivy, the new baby of pals Beyonce and Jay-Z.

"Their baby Blue Ivy is totally delish. She’s made me very broody," Paltrow confessed.

Whether she will have another baby is still on the table, but one thing is certain—she’s glad of the man she chose to raise her family with, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

"Regardless of what happens in our marriage, I chose the best father,” she purrs. “He is so good to the children, and to know that you had kids with such a good man is like a real weight off you. We are committed co-parents, we make all the decisions together and we lean on each other for support as well."
