Grumpy Cat's Getting a Movie, and This 'Parks & Recreation' Star Will Voice Her
by Andy NeuenschwanderAubrey Plaza is accustomed to playing grumpy in her role as April on "Parks & Recreation."
But can she be grumpy enough to play Grumpy Cat?
In case you haven't heard, Grumpy Cat (real name Tardar Sauce) is getting her own Lifetime movie, entitled "Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever."
The holiday movie will star Grumpy Cat as a pet store kitty who is finally adopted by a 12-year-old girl who can communicate with her. Think "Garfield" but with a little kid instead of a cartoonist.
As of today, Grumpy Cat officially has a voice: Aubrey Plaza of "Parks & Recreation" has been cast as the voice of Grumpy Cat.
"Glee" star Jane Lynch was originally set to take on the role, but ended up turning it down, perhaps as a result of her Emmy win for "Hollywood Game Night."
