Episode Grey's Anatomy Season 7, Episode 16 - 'Not Responsible' Recap

Episode Grey's Anatomy Season 7, Episode 16 - 'Not Responsible' Recap Emotions were running rampant on last night's "Grey's Anatomy."

Special guest-star (according to me) Nancy Travis played Allison, a patient in Derek's Alzheimer's trial.  And may I say, I haven't been this excited since I purchased the double-disk feature of "Three Men And A Baby"/"Three Men And A Little Lady."

Meredith, Arizona and April located a cyst on Allison's son's throat after his parents mentioned it.

After reviewing X-Rays of the child's throat, they showed them to he-with-a-serious-'tude Dr. Sharp, who demands they call social services to remove the boy from his parents since they neglected to seek care sooner.  Red flag.  Not doing it.

Even with serious reservations over Dr. Sharp's call, Meredith and April notify Allison and her husband/lover (I didn't get the details on the relationship status) that some from DSS will be coming to speak to them.

This didn't sit well with the family, who proceed to melt down and in turn, show the doctor ladies that this is a family in need of each other, not a social worker.

April goes back to drippy Dr. Sharp to say "No" to the DSS call, to which Sharp says alrighty.  And why did he give in to April?

Because he has a thing for her, although this took me by surprise.  Dr. Sharp asked April out.  April feared the consequences of saying "No," thought about it, then said "Yes."  I feel a May-December relationship budding.

Meanwhile, in the shower at Meredith's house, Lexie tucked hottie-tottie Jackson away in a shower nook while she shooed April out of the bathroom.  First of all, what a convenient hiding spot.  I wish my shower went back that far.  Second of all-FINALLY!  Lexie woke up and realized that Jackson is gorgeous.  Mark Sloane WHAT!

Last week Chief Webber's wife Adele fell from a ladder getting Christmas decorations.  This week she fell victim to a whole mess of jam in the supermarket, no thanks to those easy-tones she'd be using to tighten the derrière.

Webber already bit Meredith's head off last week when she suggested Adele might be showing signs of dementia, so now it was Bailey's turn to run every test in the book.  When Webber assigned Bailey the task, she whined,"I was looking forward to my navelectomy."  Chief Webber's response?  "Everyone's unhappy!"  I'm afraid so.

Turns out Adele can't keep her story straight.  First she was at the supermarket, then the pharmacy.  After exhausting every possibility, including an uncomfortable "blow into this small machine so I know your'e not drunk" test, Bailey found nothing.

Finally, Webber confided in Derek that perhaps Adele was suffering from something of the dementia sort.  Ever the gentleman, Derek obliged respectfully.  What a catch.

I am so jealous of Lexie.

Ah, I am not buying Alex and his crush on Dr. Fields, the overanalytic ob-gyn who keeps asking Alex to ask her out, then says "No."  We get it. You're a woman of the new millennium.  Now shoo.

I do hope Meredith's vision clears up and she's able to make a baby with Derek.  'Tis an adorable mug and a priceless brain he possesses.  She's not too bad-looking, either.
