Episode 'Grey's Anatomy' Season 7, Episode 15 - Golden Hour Recap

Episode 'Grey's Anatomy' Season 7, Episode 15 - Golden Hour Recap Last night's episode of "Grey's Anatomy" got us reacquainted with Meredith, the central character in the show's early seasons.

For a long time the storylines were focused on other characters, and while that's been critical in the development of the show, it's always nice to go back to where it all began.

We directed our attention to "the golden hour," sixty minutes that can significantly change someone's life.  In that hour Meredith lost a patient, watched another miraculously walk out the door (drunk), saved a stroke victim and secretly diagnosed Dr. Webber's wife with Alzheimer's disease.  All in all, not the most golden of hours.

Christina and Meredith are back to being besties, which puts me at ease.  It was unsettlng to see their relationship so strained as of late.  And it's great to see Christina back in the saddle after suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder following last season's hospital shooting.

What's this?  Callie asked Christina to be her child's godmother?  No, advises Meredith.  Just say no.  Why?  Because Christina's acceptance of the title means that she doesn't think Meredith will ever conceive.  Awwww, Mer.  You want Christina to save all of her present-giving power for your child.

Aaaand we've got a burly man named Stewart with a knife in his head, a sight that I can't bear to look at for more than a moment.  Does beer count as novocaine?

Um, excuse me, Dr. Bailey.  Do you intend to roll around with that attractive nurse?  A question for all of the doctors and nurses reading this recap: Just how much action do the on-call rooms see?

McDreamy's eyes popped out of his head after seeing the most unlikely duo in the on-call room.  Now how is he supposed to focus on pumping Meredith full of hormones?  Speaking of which, I didn't know where his elevator scene with Meredith was going.  I assumed that they were intending to fornicate, but when Derek told Meredith to turn around, I got a little uncomfortable.  I realize you're married and want to have sex, but I don't need to know the specifics regarding positions and such.  I've shared too much...

There's always one patient that the doctors at Seattle Grace Mercy West sort of gravitate towards every episode, and the basketball dad was one of them.  It broke my hear to watch Meredith lose that patient, then have to tell his wife what happened on his cell phone.

Finally!  Lexi accepted a date with Avery.  I'm sure we haven't seen the last of Sloan, though.  He' ll fight for her honor.  He's done it before and he'll do it again, even if it's against beautiful, "green-eyes" Avery.
