Episode 'Grey's Anatomy' Season 7, Episode 13 - Medical Tweets and a Genetically-Blessed Lovechild Recap

Episode 'Grey's Anatomy' Season 7, Episode 13 - Medical Tweets and a Genetically-Blessed Lovechild Recap "Grey's Anatomy" hadn't been on in for.ev.er, and I really missed my medical drama.

It's time to get back to saving lives, making each other cry and having angry sex, because that is what TV doctors do.  Callie Torres and Mark Sloan made a baby by having casual lesbian/straight-man sex. What's more is that Arizona Robbins, Callie's estranged girlfriend, wants to help raise the little critter.  Fantastic!

I have to give it to Arizona for being OK with Callie and Mark procreating.  I'm sure at some point she'll crack because the baby is Mark's, but for the time being she has SERIOUS groveling to do for abandoning Callie in an airport en route to Africa.  P.S. - The ob/gyn who treated Callie is played by Rachael Taylor, who just signed on to be part of ABC's (tentative) "Charlie's Angels" reboot.

The best/easiest/most useless way of communicating has infiltrated Seattle Grace Mercy West.  Twitter now has a medical degree.  Doctors are tweeting about surgeries whilst cutting into patients by designating one doctor to type from the sidelines of the OR.  Unethical? Who knows.

Miranda Bailey's argument is that it creates a platform on which to share ideas with other doctors, etc. Since Chief Webber is of the era where dinosaurs roamed the earth (hi, Dad), the obvious question must be asked: "Twitter?  What the hell is a Twitter?"  Exactly.  Dr. Webber tracks Bailey down to demand explanations about this silly Twitter, only to find her mid-tweet.  He tells her to stop, she feigns agreement, and then, "I'm trying to look at Bailey's teets on the internet."

The best part about last night was watching Christina Yang get her mojo back.  In the past, Dr. Yang had been somewhat of a cold fish when it came to patient care.  But after a brief hiatus and a fishing trip with McDreamy, Yang returned to the OR a winner.  And she managed to trick Dr. Avery into thinking he broke her.  Again.  Sucker.

All in all things are moving along at Seattle Grace Mercy West.  For a while last fall, the plots were a bit dullsiville.  But thanks to February sweeps, the pressure is on for Grey's to come back strong.  And I belive a Torres-Sloan baby is just the ticket.  Until next time, I'll leave you with some great quotes from last night's episode:

"I'm not the 'cool uncle.'  Don't ever say that again!"

"Oh good lord.  He got to you, too?"

"Lesbian lover.  Baby daddy."

"No tampons, no intercourse."

"Sing it!"
