DC heroes such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash and Green Lantern will be getting updates to their costumes and their stories as the company begins releasing a barrage of new #1 issues for 50 of their major titles, including the "Justice League"  as re-done by Geoff Johns and Jim Lee.

It will all kick off August 31st, when the release of the aforementioned "Justice League" reboot will hit shelves. In addition to the revamp, DC will now start offering digital versions of comics the same day that they come out in print, so you'll be able to download them to your mobile device on the release day.

This news comes just weeks before the release of one of the summer's big blockbusters, "Green Lantern." The Ryan Reynolds /Blake Lively film will be the first major step by DC into making movies for their supporting characters, as Superman and Batman have been the only ones to get big-screen deals of late.
