Fresh Spoilers Ahead: 'Green Lantern' Coda Makes Its Way Online One Day Following Theatrical Release

(WARNING: SPOILERS LAY AHEAD. If you have not yet seen “Green Lantern,” or plan on staying past the end credits, DO NOT READ FURTHER. Ye be warned . . .)

We here at Yidio passed along word last from “Green Lantern” co-star Mark Long (fellow Green Lantern Sinestro) that a post-credits coda to this weekend’s biggest box-office opener depicts his character’s first steps toward becoming a future galactic scourge.

"There was an idea that there would be an introduction of the idea that the yellow ring corrupts [Sinestro]," Strong previously said. "So actually the thing to do [in the film] is introduce everybody to the mythology and the story, and then give them that little taste. Certainly the fanboys who know about it will be excited, and anybody else, at least they have an opportunity of understanding where it could go from here."

It’s the ring’s yellow Fear energy that can overpower the green Will energy of the Green Lantern Corps rings. The scene in question has unsurprisingly made its way online. Have a look for yourself.
