Great Idea: Buy the 'American Horror Story' House!

Great Idea: Buy the 'American Horror Story' House! If you happen to be a multi-millionaire with a love of the macabre, then boy do we have a real estate opportunity for you! The mansion from "American Horror Story" is on the market, ready to be sold to a brave individual with the proper coin.

The listing for the house goes into great detail about the many lovely attributes of the home, but fails to mention its use in the popular FX horror series. One would think that would actually work as a selling point, especially considering the house is going for a cool $4.5 million or so.

The mansion is six bedrooms and five bathrooms (the Duggars might fit right in here) and features the attached grand ballroom, which was formerly a chapel and seems grounds for some "Exorcist"-style stuff on its own.

Sure, the thought of the incredibly creepy occurrences that we've seen in season one of Ryan Murphy's strange series is scary enough. But for those seeking even more of a thrill, you'll be happy to know that the house is located in Country Club Park, in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles. Surprisingly, it's not the most upscale area of LA, so if ghosts aren't enough to scare you, maybe the crime rates in the general area will.

The listing makes no mention of any "Rubber Man" or ghostly activity, nor does it seem likely that Jessica Lange lives next door. But you certainly could move in and pretend that the previous residents were gruesomely murdered if you like. Bonus points to you if you let the lawn grow to unkempt proportions and put up an ivy-infested gate.
