Grammy Nominations Announced at Concert Tonight; Legendary Rappers to Perform

Grammy Nominations Announced at Concert Tonight; Legendary Rappers to Perform Tonight at 10 p.m. EST on CBS, the 2011 Grammy Awards nominations will be announced during a CBS concert special hosted by LL Cool J.

While that alone is enough to warrant a quick check-in (to see if your favorite artists are in the running), the entertainment line-up might make it worth watching the whole special.

Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Usher will all be performing at the nomination announcement ceremony, and an all-star rap team led by hip-hop pioneer Grandmaster Flash will reportedly do an extended version of a seminal rap classic, with 30 years worth of history represented.

According to MTV, "rappers LL Cool J, Common and Lupe Fiasco will join Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five members Melle Mel and Scorpio for the group's classic 'The Message.'"

Best-selling artists like Adele, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj are all expected to well at The Grammys this year, as well as Kanye West and Jay-Z for their collaboration album "Watch the Throne," Rihanna and Lil Wayne.

As we learned last year, with the Best New Artist win going to Esperanza Spalding, anything can happen at the Grammys.
