'Gossip Girl' Leighton Meester Records PSA for College Kids

'Gossip Girl' Leighton Meester Records PSA for College Kids Leighton Meester from "Gossip Girl" has a new movie coming out. It’s called "Roommate" and it follows the life of a college girl with a less-than-honest roommate. Minka Kelly plays her roommate.

Since she plays a college co-ed, officials thought this was a good tie in to do a PSA for college-aged kids. And surprisingly, it hasn’t been done before, even though millions of people go off to college each year.

This is what Leighton says in her PSA via NY Magazine:

"Many people have had the (mis)fortune of sharing a dorm room with a stranger and understand -- and loathe -- the feeling of knowing someone has gone through your stuff. Leighton Meester, star of the upcoming film 'The Roommate,' feels your pain, and is here to help with a new College Humor PSA."

"My message is simple. Don't touch my $h!t," she says in the clip. "We live in a world where millions of people go every day without touching my s**t -- why can't you be one of them?"

Were you a person that suffered through having a horrible roommate in college? Do you wish Leighton had made this commercial earlier, so you could have played it for them?

How many college students have their stuff touched each year and don’t even realize it? Leighton and Minka’s movie will be out in 2011 in the US.

Leighton is still filming "Gossip Girl" in New York and will return with new episodes in a few weeks. Are you tuning in to her?
