'Gossip Girl' Returns April 18th: Season 4 Spoilers Plus Video (Watch the Extended Promo)

I’ve been anxiously awaiting the return of my favorite guilty pleasure… possibly my guiltiest of all time. Yes, I’m talking about the second half of season 4 of "Gossip Girl." I’m talking Blair on Dan, Serena on anyone and Chuck on everyone else.

So far this season there have been many bizarre encounters, the biggest of which landed Blair Waldorf’s pouty lips squarely on Dan Humphrey’s… something even "Gossip Girl" herself couldn’t have seen coming.

All signs pointed toward scandal when the frenemies were both hired by "W Magazine." The first time they met up, on purpose, outside of work, I knew it was on.

Ok, maybe I didn’t know right away, but I hoped their love for classic flicks would at least lead to a dirty romp in the theater. Before the break we got a smooch, and rumor has it Blair will be engaged by the end of this season. We thought she would be spoken for last spring too, but who will be the lucky man this time?

The promo for the next new episode quotes Blair saying "that one kiss changed me." What will happen when the rest of the UES finds out who she locked lips with?

Evil Uncle Jack Bass returns. Why?

Nothing has been confirmed, but chances are there is some connection to the whole Bass empire/Russell Thorpe debacle. I’m sure he will get his slimy hands in there and threaten someone about something, as per usual.

Serena is heading for the left coast, and there is a cousin Charlie in the mix. What will bring her to California? The theories on this one can span the scale, but we’ve seen a shot of her in Santa Monica with an interesting sidekick. David O. Russell, director of “The Fighter” is in a scene with S… is she headed for the bright lights of Hollywood? The UES beauty certainly has the looks and a love for drama, so stay tuned!

I have to revisit that little spoiler re: Blair and a shiny bauble on a specific finger.  Please GG gods, let it be a Chuck Bass sparkler. I know they are meant to be together, deep dirty secrets and all.

We know the writers will keep us running in circles with more twists and turns than a soap opera when "Gossip Girl" returns April 18.
