Glenn Beck Throws Last Punches At Jon Stewart On Show's Finale

Glenn Beck Throws Last Punches At Jon Stewart On Show's Finale It’s apparently on one last time between Glenn Beck and Jon Stewart.

Since he rose to cable news and talk radio prominence, “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” comedian has been Joker to Beck’s Batman. During Thursday’s farewell Fox News broadcast, the super-conservative Beck had a few last swipes to take at his Comedy Central nemesis.

And please believe, it was “by-the-numbers” Beck.

For starters, he explained, Beck delivers a 21-minute monologue each show. Stewarts’ clock in around six minutes. Beck gets a total average 42 minutes of air time. Stewart gets 22 minutes daily, including his time with guests. Beck introduced his show’s two writers, Dan and Pat, without disclosing their last names. He contrasted that with Emmy footage of Stewart with his staff numbering from 15 to 40 writers.

The feud between the two goes back years, but included Stewart counter-pointing Beck’s Restoring Honor rally last August with the Rally To Restore Sanity this past October.

"It's easy to speak from the heart, it's easy to do things when you actually believe them. And we've done it with a remarkably small and dedicated staff and a remarkably large and dedicated audience, and we thank you for that,” Beck said.
