Will has a fantasy sequence with Emma where he is performs “You’re all the World to Me” by Fred Astaire and dances with Emma. But, of course it’s just a fantasy, and he’s still alone.

He is inspired by it, and assigns the New Directions the task of singing a song from a movie. Boys against girls. And they have to do mash-ups. Artie offer the winners of the sing-off a chance to star in his student film.

Finn talks to Will in private and asks how things are going with Emma, and he says she’s not talking to him. He expresses his concerns with Will’s behavior, but Will tells him he needs to leave it alone.

Finn goes to Sue and asks if she’s heard anything, and she, in not so many nice words, tells him she hasn’t.

Finn goes to Artie, and they stage a woman-hunt, but Artie says it would be easiest to just talk to her parents.

Blaine and Brittany suggest to the other Glee Clubers to have a sing-off warm up, since they can’t actually sing duets, and sing “Shout” by The Isley Brothers.

In New York, Santana makes witty yet rude remarks about everyone in the apartment, after they all get snowed in. They suggest a movie day, and finally decide on watching “Moulin Rouge”.

Kurt and Blaine perform a fantasy rendition of “Come What May” from “Moulin Rouge”. Back in the apartment, Adam notices Kurt crying. He tries to create an excuse.

Santana expresses her concerns about Brody. She found a wad a wad of $1,200 in his pocket and a pager, and suspects that he might be a drug dealer.

In the school, Artie and Finn bring Emma’s parents in for questioning, and try to determine where she’s hiding.

Back in the apartment, Rachel tries to defend Brody. She calls him, and then starts to have her own doubts after he gives excuses for why he can’t come home.

In the school, the men perform their mash-up of “Old Time Rock & Roll/Danger Zone” by Bob Seger and Kenny Loggins.

In response, the girls perform their mash-up of “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend/Material Girl” by Marilyn Monroe and Madonna.

In NYADA, Adam tells Kurt that he had fun on their little movie date. Adam deduces that Kurt still loves Blaine, though, and that he was nothing more than a rebound. Kurt says that he really wants to get over him, so Adam says they’re going to go see a movie together.

In the school, Finn tells Will that he found Emma, and she’s been staying at her sister’s, and that he needs to go to her. Will doesn’t want to, but Finn says he has to win her back.

Will goes to Emma and sings to her (with the help of the Glee club) “In Your Eyes” by Peter Gabriel. She apologizes to him for keeping him in the dark. She admits that she ran because she feels like she doesn’t know Will anymore. So they agree to take their relationship slow and get to know each other again.

In the apartment, Santana confronts Rachel about the pregnancy test that she found in the trash, and Rachel breaks down.

In the school, Jake apologizes to Marley about Valentine’s Day, and that Ryder was the one who bought all the gifts. So, to make up for it, he sings her “Unchained Melody” by Todd Duncan. However, Marley is conflicted about her feelings for Ryder in addition to Jake. She tells Jake that Ryder kissed her, which causes him to storm off.

In class, the boys and girls trash talk each other over who will win. Will announces that all of them are winners, and they all have a part in Artie’s film.

Will talks to Finn in the hallway, and he thanks Finn for helping him get Emma back. Finn finally admits that he kissed her, which surprises Will. He walks away without saying a word.

To end, the New Directions perform “Footloose” by Kenny Loggins for no apparent reason.
