'Glee' Star Heather Morris Latest in Nude Photo Hack Scandal
by Andy NeuenschwanderPhoto scandals and "Glee" have gone hand-in-hand since the show's beginnings, when a racy photoshoot of the show's stars appeared in GQ and put parents in a tizzy. The latest scandal, though, is a whole new animal.
Heather Morris, who plays the daft dancer Brittany on "Glee," is the latest celebrity to fall victim to a cell phone hack. Nude photos of Morris, originally posted by Celebslam, have made their way online following similar recent incidents involving "Mad Men" star Christina Hendricks and actress/TV host Olivia Munn.
Morris and her reps have not responded to the pics thus far, but the pictures are fairly clear, showing Morris in various states of undress, self-shooting in a mirror with her cell phone.
This isn't the first time Morris has had nude photos hit the Internet. Before "Glee," Morris did a professional shoot with nudes that she later described as "tasteful," noting that she wasn't concerned that they had surfaced. This is obviously a very different type of leak, as these photos appear personal in nature.
The continued attacks are a bit of a surprise, considering the fact that Christopher Chaney (who was behind the Scarlett Johansson leak and other hacks) was arrested and charged with crimes that could add up to a maximum of 121 years in prison. It is unlikely, of course, that he'll get that sentence, but the FBI was involved in the case and hackers are seemingly no longer able to conduct these attacks without consequences.
It seems that our starlets could also benefit from a cybersecurity class. Delete pics from your phone once they're sent, celebrities! Use email!
