'Glee' Star Darren Criss Might Replace 'Harry Potter' Star Daniel Radcliffe...

Tumblr via dactumblesThey both sing, they both act, and they both played Harry Potter at some point. Now "Glee" star Darren Criss is rumored to be taking over for Daniel Radcliffe in a role...but which one?

Deadline is reporting that Criss may be replacing Radcliffe in the Broadway musical "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," for which Radcliffe has enjoyed a successful run and plenty of critical praise. Radcliffe will be finishing his run in January to go back to making movies, at which point Criss would take over for a three-week run.

What does that mean for "Glee?" After all, Criss just got bumped up to a series regular for the next season, so his schedule isn't as free as it once was. If Criss gets permission from Ryan Murphy et al and takes the gig, he'll miss filming for a full episode, and maybe part of another.

The wonderful coincidence/irony (depending on how strict you are about irony) of all this is that Criss became internet-famous before becoming TV-famous for his role as Harry Potter in the spoof musical "A Very Potter Musical." The show (and its sequel) racked up a huge number of views on YouTube, and Criss remains an idol among "Harry Potter" fans, having just recently performed songs from the musical at LeakyCon.

A lot has to go right (including Criss getting permission from "Glee") before this happens, but if it does you might have a chance to see Criss on a Broadway stage next year!
