'Glee' Shocker: Naya Rivera Rumored to Be Fired Over Lea Michele Feud
by Andy NeuenschwanderYou know what's awkward? When there's more interesting drama behind the scenes of your show than on screen.
NY Daily News is reporting that Naya Rivera, who plays Santana on Fox's hit musical teen comedy drama amalgam "Glee," has been fired.
While the rumor has yet to be confirmed (Rivera's reps were contacted about the matter but have not yet responded), the word is that it was Rivera's ongoing feud with Michele that led to Rivera getting sacked.
As we reported earlier, Rivera's beef with Michele was hinted at in a piece of not-so-blind gossip, in which a high-profile TV actress was said to have broken off her engagement when she discovered her fiancé was cheating on her with her television co-star.
That would mean that Rivera's now ex-fiancé, rapper Big Sean, had a sort of fling with Michele, leading to the breaking off of their engagement.
However, on-set sources say that, while Rivera and Michele weren't on the best of terms, it was actually Rivera's attitude toward producers that really got her fired. According to NY Daily News, there was a big on-set altercation that had Rivera yelling at the show's producers.
Rivera has allegedly been written out of the "Glee" season finale, which airs in just a couple short weeks on May 15. So even if nobody involved confirms this report, we'll know when the finale airs whether Rivera was let go prematurely or not.
