'Glee' Season 5 Premier Postponed

'Glee' Season 5 Premier Postponed The death of "Glee" star Cory Monteith has forced producers to postpone the show's Season 5 premiere. The season's first episode is now set to air on Sept. 26, a week after it was originally planned to debut. There is no word yet on how Finn, Monteith's character, will leave the show.

The Huffington Post reports that production on the new season will be delayed until late August and that producers are still unsure how to handle the loss of the character.

Sources speculate that Finn could appear in the first few episodes of the season via footage of Monteith that has already been shot. Talk of a tribute episode dedicated to Monteith has also been floated.

In the wake of Monteith's death, his girlfriend and co star, Lea Michele, has been silent, asking only for privacy through an official statement.

Co stars Matthew Morrison, Naya Rivera, Jane Lynch and Dianna Agron have all publicly expressed their sadness at Monteith's passing.
