'Glee' Preview: Santana Comes Out, Sings 'I Kissed a Girl' (Video) When "Glee" released a recent episode focused on two teens who lose their virginity (one straight and one gay), it caused protests from the Parent's Television Council even before it had aired. Wonder what they'll think of this week's episode?

Airing Tuesday night, Naya Rivera, who plays Santana, comes out as a lesbian, and the show will prominently feature a cover of the Katy Perry song "I Kissed a Girl."

While the accompanying dance is basically about as suggestive as your average high school drill-team halftime show, the suggestions in question all happen to be focused on young girls getting to know each other a whole lot better.

In the show, Santana is a closeted lesbian who has a secret relationship with her friend and fellow cheerleader (or Cheerio) Brittany Pierce (Heather Morris). In the new episode, she gets outed in a campaign ad by Sue Sylvester's opponent in the congressional race.

Melissa Etheridge's "I'm the Only One" and Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" will also be featured in the episode.

Is the show's subject matter and choice of song a little obvious? Sure, though no one ever accused "Glee" and creator Ryan Murphy of subtlety, and the vast legions of Gleeks certainly don't seem to mind.
