'Glee' Preview: 'Glee Project' Winner's Character Name And Ties To Finn

(WARNING: The following contains possible spoilers for the upcoming season of "Glee." Y'all been warned.)
"Glee" creator Ryan Murphy won't waste time making "The Glee Project" winner Blake Jenner part of some potentially sizeable twists.
Debuting in the upcoming fourth season's fifth episode, ladies and gentle-gleeks, as tweeted by Murphy himself Wednesday....meet Ryder.
"@Blake_Jenner's character name is...Ryder. Working on lots of great scenes for Blake and @CoryMonteith!"
Murphy had already spilled the news that Blake's character - at that point, unnamed - would become an instant object of affection for somebody. Wetpaint.com speculated upon the tweet from Murphy that Jenner might have a familial bond with Monteith's newly graduated Finn. After all, the third season revealed that Finn's biological father got around back in the day when heavily into drugs. Though he's his mother's only son, it bears pondering whether Ryder might be Finn's long-lost brother by another mother.
After all, Lea Michele did previously describe Finn's "shocking" season-four arc as "nothing you could ever possibly think of."
Jenner's debuting episode has already been revealed to be titled "The Break-Up," with not many hints dropped by Murphy or anyone else whether Finnchel, Brittana or Klaine might be ultimately on the outs for good. Also, Murphy's previous exact wording was that "Blake's character will be in Ohio starting episode 5." He additionally tweeted immediately after Jenner was announced as the second "Glee Project" winner, "Welcome to McKinley!"
On the surface, it would sure seem to point to Ryder either emerging as a new Warbler, or perhaps an addition to New Directions. That, or Murphy knowing exactly the right strings to pull to misdirect gleeks across the stage and away from what he's actually cooking.
