'Glee' & 'Gossip Girl' Stars Among the World's Most Influential Peeps The most influential people in the world, according to Time magazine, include Barack and Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, and blossoming super stars Chris Colfer and Blake Lively.

In the past year, both young stars have been making headlines and shaping minds in some way or another.

Chris Colfer’s impact as an incredibly popular ‘Glee’ star has brought attention to the issues of sexuality and bullying for gay teens. In addition to portraying Kurt on the show, Colfer has taken the spotlight off the tube to raise awareness in campaigns like “It Gets Better.”

The 20-year-old believes in speaking your truth, and after receiving a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor this year, he used his speech to address why he is so passionate about his role.

"Most importantly, to all the amazing kids that watch our show and the kids that our show celebrates, who are constantly told 'no' by the people in their environments, by bullies at school that they can't be who they are or have what they want because of who they are. Well, screw that, kids," Colfer said.

Blake Lively has also brought her “Gossip Girl“ role into real life, becoming a legitimate fashion icon. Livley has become a cover girl for industry giants like Vogue’s Anna Wintour and Karl Lagerfield of Chanel.

Lively “makes you feel that she, and life, are going to go on forever,”  filmmaker Baz Lurhmann’s says in his dedication to her in Time.

While both stars have made a mark for different reasons, and some would say that Lively is a questionable choice for the list, both have done an impressive job of representing the face of young passion, be it in adversity or Chanel tweed.
