'Glee' Extra Nicole Crowther Speaks Out, Says She Didn't Spoil From On Set

'Glee' Extra Nicole Crowther Speaks Out, Says She Didn't Spoil From On Set Nicole Crowther may be the world's most famous extra, but she claims she wasn't even on set when she learned about a juicy "Glee" spoiler...and subsequently tweeted it.

Crowther claims that she heard about the spoiler at a dinner party through another person who had been an extra on set that day. Thus, while Crowther might still be to blame for tweeting the spoiler, she did not violate any code of ethics or contract agreements.

"I didn't even know if the girl I heard it from was joking or telling the truth," Crowther said in her statement, as printed by THR. "I was not an extra for that scene and haven't been an extra on the show since Oct. 2010."

Crowther's infamous tweet has since been deleted, but sure enough it did not make a mention of Crowther being on set at that time. Other tweets around that time might have revealed that information, but if they did they have been deleted as well.

It's not surprising that Crowther is trying to do some damage control: after all, "Glee" co-creator Brad Falchuk made his feelings very clear about Crowther when he tweeted "Hope you're qualified to do something other than work in entertainment."

Crowther also mentioned in her statement that she would like for Falchuk to make it known that she did not tweet the spoiler from set or violate a contract.

She was also quite apologetic: "I have been on the set of many shows and have never, and would never, give away any information," said Crowther. "And I am truly sorry for any trouble I have caused. But that was never what I intended. I wanted to be just another speculator weighing in."

Should she be forgiven? Maybe. But will Falchuk bother to help her clear her name? Probably not. She did, after all, ruin what could be one of the best moments of this season.
