'Glee' Casts Rachel's Two Gay Dads: One of Them is Jeff Goldblum!

'Glee' Casts Rachel's Two Gay Dads: One of Them is Jeff Goldblum! It started as an offhand joke in the first season of "Glee," as Rachel Berry (played by Lea Michele) noted in one of her inner monologues that she was raised by her two gay dads. Since then, the mystery of Rachel's dads has grown: who are these two men who raised such a talented but egocentric diva? Who would play them if they were to ever appear on the show?

The day has finally come when those questions are answered. Rachel's two gay dads will be played by (drumroll please) Jeff Goldblum and Brian Stokes Mitchell!

Huh?

Yes, according to TV Line, Goldblum and Mitchell have been cast as Rachel's dads and will be appearing in an episode later this season. Goldblum is probably the more well-known of the two, having starred in such movies as "The Fly" and "Independence Day" and more recently starred in "Law and Order: Criminal Intent." Goldblum is a talented pianist as well, so perhaps he'll tickle the ivories in the episode.

Brian Stokes Mitchell has made some TV appearances, including one in "Ugly Betty," but is mostly known for his prolific work on Broadway. It seems pretty clear that if there's any singing to be done, it will be done by Mitchell first and Goldblum second.

This news comes during a season where we've already met the parents of Mike Chang (Harry Shum) and Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays). We'll see if anyone else's folks get cast anytime soon.
