'Glee' Actress Lea Michele to Sing at Superbowl

'Glee' Actress Lea Michele to Sing at Superbowl Bringing in an even broader audience (perhaps those among us who chose to rock the choir high rises instead of the football benches), “Glee star” Lea Michele will sing “America the Beautiful” during pregame festivities.

Michele joins legends like Ray Charles, Faith Hill, Queen Latifah, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, and Vicki Carr who are among the only singers bestowed the game day honor of singing this song.

Additionally, Gleeks can catch their beloved Rachel after the show, as the game will be followed by a special episode of “Glee” that will include a combined performance of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ “Heads Will Roll.”

While promoting her new movie "I Am Number Four," Dianna Argon, who plays Quinn on the television-musical hit, told MTV making the number was one of the most fun times she’s had on the show.

“[We were] dressed like zombies with blood coming down you and in vintage dresses, well, not the boys dressed in dresses," she corrected. "[There is] just a lot of comedy. Just a lot of laughs," she said

From the looks of Sunday’s musical lineup, the show, which occasionally shares the dynamic of teenagers having to choose between being popular by playing sports or marching to beat of their own mash-up, will have even more in common with Superbowl XLV.

Christina Aguilera will be singing the “National Anthem” and the Black Eyed Peas are expected to perform during half-time.

After which, in the special episode titled “The Sue Sylvester Bowl Shuffle,” Glee will be presenting their own take on the iconic Black Eyed Peas with their version of “Meet Me Halfway.”
