GLAAD Whips Tracy Morgan Back Onto Apology Trail For Gay Rant

Photo: AP Well, Tracy Morgan apparently didn’t feel that his apologies so far for his recent on-stage rant against the gay community had cut the mustard.

The “30 Rock” and former “Saturday Night Live” star and stand-up comic appeared in Nashvilleat the behest of gay-rights advocacy group GLAAD to make yet another official apology – this time, to a media gathering.

That gathering also included Kevin Rogers, the gay man who first broke the story on his Facebook page about Morgan’s rant earlier this month on stage at a Nashville comedy club that he would “pull out a knife and stab” his son, were he to tell him that he was gay.

"I want to apologize to Kevin and people that were at the show for bummin' em out," said Morgan.

"I want to apologize to my friends and my family and my fans and everyone in every community that were offended with this. I didn't know. I didn't mean it."

A general gag order might serve Morgan well. This past January, an apology had to be issued on-camera during a live NBA telecast when Morgan called could-be Presidential candidate Sarah Palin “good masturbation material” during a brief interview.
