'Gilmore Girls' Wraps Filming, Scott Patterson Tweets Selfie with Lauren Graham

Yesterday was a bittersweet day for fans of Gilmore Girls. The good news is that production on the Netflix revival of the series wrapped on Thursday, meaning that the limited-run revival series is one big step closer to hitting the screen. The bad news is that the end of filming means that Lorelai, Luke, Rory and the rest of the Stars Hollow gang might never get together again.

Scott Patterson, who plays Luke, tweeted a photo of himself and Lauren Graham, who plays Lorelai, to commemorate the end of filming on the revival on May 12.

With shooting out of the way, post-production on the revival series can begin. The new series will consist of four 90-minute episodes, and all the episodes will hit Netflix sometime later in the year; no definite release date has been set yet.

The revival features nearly all the original series' stars, including Patterson, Graham, Alexi Bledel, Kelly Bishop and Jared Padelecki. Melissa McCarthy, who plays Lorelai's best friend Sookie, was originally not slated to appear in the revival, but she signed on for at least a cameo appearance at the last minute.
