'Gilmore Girls' Revival Title Revealed
by EG
Lauren Graham revealed a small bit of news about the upcoming Netflix Gilmore Girls revival this week, but even that tiny tidbit was enough to get fans excited. Graham dropped the news on the Ellen show, which is becoming the best place to go for revelations about the highly anticipated series.
Graham revealed that the title of the four-episode revival series will be Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. Before Graham's presumably reliable announcement, the title of the series was rumored to be Gilmore Girls: Seasons, leading fans to speculate that each of the four episodes would be set in a different season of the year. The new title, of course, doesn't rule out that possibility, and it seems to confirm that there will be time jumps between the episodes.
Netflix has not yet announced a release date for Gilmore Girls, but production on the series wrapped just last week, so its release is likely still months away. Creator/producer Amy Sherman-Palladino has said that she hopes Netflix will not release the series' four episodes all at once, but releasing them separately would be counter to Netflix's typical release strategy. Chances are, all four episodes will hit the service sometime in the fall or winter of 2016.
