Gift Guide 2011: Ideas for the Ultimate 'Gossip Girl' Fan

Gift Guide 2011: Ideas for the Ultimate 'Gossip Girl' Fan Looking for what to get the ultimate "Gossip Girl" fan in your life?

Well if you are, don't despair that you can't afford a jaunt to Paris or a purse the price of a smart car. If those "Gossip Girl"s are experts in anything, it's how to spend money.

Sadly, not all of us have trust funds to drain, royalty to marry or cougars to sleep with.

The rich "Gossip Girl" brat pack might do things differently, but with our handy gift guide you'll be able to treat your super fan like New York's elite without remortaging your house.

Whether you have the means of Blair Waldorf or you're slumming it with Dan Humphrey, here are a few Upper East Side-approved gifts that won't max out your credit card.

After all, there's a reason there's only one Chuck Bass.

1. Texting Gloves

Keep up with the gossip, even in winter with these Magaschoni cashmere gloves that allow you to text with ease. Sure, they're a little on the pricey side for gloves but think of everything you can do with them. You can stay warm AND read the latest "Gossip Girl" blast in style. Those New York winters are cold, after all.

These come courtsey of a suggestion from none other than Lily Van der Woodsen-Bass-Humphrey herself, Kelly Rutherford. On her Opensky account she gushes about these gloves:

"I know you’re going to love these as much as I do because—guess what?—they’re also text-friendly. What do I mean by that? They come with these cool little slits at the fingertips, so you can actually text and use your iPhone or Blackberry! I love that. "

So ask yourself, WWLD (What Would Lily Do?) and buy these gloves for your favorite texter this holiday season.

Price: $130

2. Gossip Comic

Has your super fan ever wondered what Serena and Blair would look like as manga characters? Well wonder no more! Thanks to the "Gossip Girl" manga, currently at three volumes, now the stylish New York socialites are pocket sized. Wondering what Blair or Serena would do? Now their comic avatars are portable. Just as over-the-top and full of "OMG" moments as the series that inspired it, this comic book is for the die-hard fan that just can't get enough. Having read them myself (that's right, I'll admit it!) they are great fun, merging both the book series and the television series and still carving out their own space in the "Gossip Girl" universe. So instead of reading another Gossip Girl blast, why not read the manga instead?

Basically, it's just a board game version of never have I ever but you can pretend that you are revealing "Gossip Girl" blast worthy secrets. Just beware one of your friends isn't texting your secrets out to a gossip site while you play!

4. Headband for a Queen B

There's nothing that says "Gossip Girl" more than one of Blair Waldorf's signature headbands. The various headbands adorning the well-coiffed dome of our favorite Queen B will set you back a pretty penny. Thankfully, there are tons of low-budget options for the obsessed fashionista on a budget.

5. Gossip Couture

Emulating the style of your favorite "Gossip Girl" character can be a tricky proposition. Unless you can spend like you own the Plaza Hotel (or the Empire) it'll probably be impossible to snag most of the couture goodies seen on the show. Thankfully, there are some recession-friendly ways to dress like fashion risk-taking Serena or classic-but-conservative Blair. First there's the "Gossip Girl" inspired line for Target from designer Anna Sui. You can find many of the CW show inspired pieces floating on the web for much less than the price of a Jenny Packham dress. (Just don't tell Charlie/Ivy!)

Where to Buy: Ebay.com
Price: $19.99 to $119

You can also find an exact replica of the fabulous sailor dress seen on Leighton Meester's Blair in the season one finale. It won't guarantee that you'll snag yourself a Chuck Bass, but there's no harm in trying.

Where to Buy: Bettie Page Clothing
Price: $150
