“Gossip Girl” is giving fans a chance to relive the glory days, and empathize with Dan (Penn Badgley) and Blair (Leighton Meester) who will be "W" interns on tonight's show.
An interactive Facebook game was revealed today called “Gossip Girl: Social Climbing.” The game can be played through Friday and according to the press release, allows fans to “experience the scandalous lives of Manhattan’s elite through show and game integration".
The game puts players on the road to becoming genuine “Glitterarti” as they accrue points by answering questions and attending parties via the game's platform. Ultimately, players could score a chance to attend a magazine cocktail party in real life.
To date, the game is “Liked” by 5,815 players. The game invites “you and your friends” to become a part of Manhattan’s scandalous elite, and to “Party, shop, and make a name for yourself.”
“Gossip Girl” characters have long beeing using social media to boost their own status-standings by checking in on Foursquare and employing smartphone applications to locate one another.
