Get a Glimpse of Force Awakens Deleted Scenes

If you've got any doubt whether Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens can still generate hype months after its release, look no further than today's release of a teaser clip that gives just a tiny little glimpse of deleted scenes that will be included on the film's upcoming Blu-ray. When a tidbit like this can generate fan excitement, you've got some serious hype on your hands.

The teaser, which clocks in at just over a minute, include snippets of scenes that feature Han Solo, Chewbacca, Finn, Rey, Kylo Ren and a bunch of stormtroopers. The most interesting of the scenes seem to be one that shows Kylo Ren searching an abandoned Millennium Falcon and another that shows Han, Chewie, Finn and Rey fleeing from the aforementioned stormtroopers.

Most of the unused scenes will be included on the Blu-ray and DVD versions of the film, which will be released on April 5, 2016, and the digital-only version, which will debut on April 1. The scene entitled "Tunnel Standoff," which is presumably the scene with the stormtroopers, will only be included with the digital download, however. The Blu-ray release will be a three-disc set that will include the requisite interviews and featurettes along with the deleted scenes.
