Get a Double Dose of 'Doctor Who' Trailers!
by Shannon Keirnan“Doctor Who” fans are in luck. Not only has a trailer finally been released to tease the upcoming 50th year of the popular science fiction show… there’s two of them.
Both have similarities but are certainly worth watching for their own little tidbits. “Doctor Who” returns to BBC America on March 30th at 8 p.m. EST, with eight new episodes to round off the second half of its seventh season.
You can also check out a “Doctor Who” cover story in next week’s Entertainment Weekly, to mark the anniversary of 50 years of a being a fan favorite.
Until then, you can watch Matt Smith as The Doctor wrestle with the mystery of Clara, the “impossible girl.”
“What happened to me?”
“Don’t you remember?”
In the trailers, the biggest draw for The Doctor seems to be figuring out who (or what) Clara is, and what makes her so unique.
“”You’re the impossible girl… You are the only mystery worth solving… time to find out who you are.”
“Through all of time and space, the unknown… is everywhere,” teases the voice over, “but sometimes the universe’s greatest mystery… is the person right next to you…On March 30th, The Doctor sets off on an epic journey… that could cost him everything.”
Will it? Both trailers have a similar ending… The Doctor, seemingly lost in a misty gray wood. Has he lost Clara? Is he in eminent danger?
“I am the Doctor… and I am afraid,” he admits wonderingly.
What do you think of the new season and the mystery surrounding Clara Oswin? Will you be tuning in?
