Gavin DeGraw Savagely Beaten, Then Hit By a Taxi

Talk about a rough, rough night. Singer Gavin DeGraw, who is currently on tour with Maroon 5, was savagely beaten by a group of thugs last night in NYC, and then accidentally hit by a cab as he stumbled away after the attack.

The singer is currently in the hospital recovering from injuries sustained during the attack and resulting accident.

DeGraw's reps released a statement about the attack today.

"Gavin DeGraw is currently recovering and in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital where he was taken late Sunday night by ambulance after he was attacked by a group of assailants. He suffers from a concussion, broken nose, black eyes, cuts and bruises. The police are conducting an investigation of  the attack."

"The Voice" judge and Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine sent his support for DeGraw via Twitter.

“Please send your love to @gavindegraw tonight. We love you buddy. Get well and get back out here!”
