'Game of Thrones' Sets Season 2 Premiere Date; Plus, Watch a New Video!

Game of Thrones season 2 Sharpen up your best sword: "Game of Thrones" has set the premiere date for season two!

Up to this point, HBO was being vague with when exactly their hit fantasy show would return, only giving us Spring 2012 for a date. That has changed with a new photo posted to the show's Facebook wall today, which names the season two premiere date: April 1st, 2012.

We'll assume that isn't an April Fool's joke and tune in then.

The show also released a cool behind-the scenes video recently showcasing what goes into the making of a set of armor, in this case the armor of Renly Baratheon, who will be playing a large role this season. Apparently the armor takes about 800 strips of metal and more than 4,000 rivets, and that's not even including the arms. Yikes.

Then the whole thing is covered in velvet, because Renly is stylish like that. Gethin Anthony, who plays the character, seems to be enjoying wearing the stuff. And who wouldn't?

Tune in for the season two premiere of "Game of Thrones" on April 1st on HBO, and check out the behind-the-scenes video below:
