'Game of Thrones' Releases its Extended Trailer!
by Shannon KeirnanWe’ve already been granted the teaser trailer for the upcoming third season of “Game of Thrones,” but now we can be even more excited for a few extra snippets in the extended trailer.
Already we’ve gotten glimpses of the coming war, and, of course, had our warnings that “death is coming for everyone and everything. A darkness that will swallow the dawn.”
While much of the snippets from the trailer we’ve already scene, a few choice bits—including some snappy interplay between Tyrion and Cersei, an unhappy bear, and an extended scene at the end which shows a dragon flying toward Daenerys. Jon Snow gets a little more face time, as well… and of course a few more shots of the suggestive have been inserted.
Then there’s Joffrey, being… well, Joffrey.
The season will most likely be split into two parts to cover George R.R. Martin’s third novel in the “Game of Thrones” series, A Storm of Swords.
Season three will also be bringing in an assortment of new characters to blend with the old. Expect to see Ciaran Hinds as Mance Rayder, Diana Rigg as Olenna Tyrell, Clive Russell as Brynden “The Blackfish” Tully, and Thomas Brodie-Sangdter and Ellie Kendrick as Jojen and Meera Reed.
The show will return, no doubt to rabidly excited audiences, March 31 at 9 p.m. on HBO after its too-long hiatus.
You can check out the extended trailer below, “Game of Throne” fans.
What do you think…. Does it bode well for the upcoming season?
