'Game of Thrones': Emilia Clarke Thinks it's '50/50' a Dead Character Returns!
by Shannon KeirnanThis article contains "Game of Thrones" spoilers!
Let's face it. The vast majority of "Game of Throne" fans (particularly those who hadn't read the books), were shocked when the season 5 finale closed with the death of Jon Snow. And the majority of those fans are crying foul, convinced that the Stark bastard will, somehow, be making a triumphant return in the future.
Actor Kit Harington has said of his character, "I've been told I'm dead. I'm dead. I'm not coming back next season. So that's all I can tell you, really."
But what does that meeeeeean?
Plenty of fan theories (see below) have Snow coming back... and now "Game of Thrones" actress Emilia Clarke (Daenerys) has stepped in to fuel the flames by admitting that she's not entirely sure Snow is gone for good.
"I read the scripts and I cried and I called [showrunners] David and Dan and took Kit out for numerous drinks," Clarke told MTV. "Looking forward, they know that I can't lie very well. I can with all honesty say I have no idea what's happening."
She adds, "If I had to bet, I would say it's a 50/50 chance. There are some helpful people there, who could bring Jon back to life."
Hey. 50/50 is pretty decent odds for a "Game of Thrones" character, and everyone else involved in the show has been pretty evasive, carefully choosing words regarding the end of Jon Snow.
Kit Harington may not be returning next season, but will he back in the future?
Fan theories include that Melisandre (Carice Van Houten), who happened to stroll in at the Wall right before Snow's Night Watch brothers turned on him, is likely to bring him back to life. Other options include Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright, who was also absent for an entire season) who may be able to reanimate him with his new-found powers, that Snow may have warged into his Direwolf Ghost, or that Snow will be returning in the future as a White Walker.
So. Do you think Jon Snow will be back on the Wall in season seven?
