'Game of Thrones' Cast Drops Big Hints About Season 5!
by Shannon Keirnan
HBO certainly knows how to titillate! And we're not just talking about all the boobs and gore...
Devoted fans have to wait until April 12th to revel in the glory of a fifth season of "Game of Thrones," but with photos and trailers dropping all around, HBO is still managing to whip up a frenzy!
Book readers and show watchers already know they may soon be at odds, with the television series set to overtake the (unfinished) novels.
Now there may be even more issues for devoted series readers: major discrepancies between the story they know and what they'll see on screen.
Actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jamie Lannister on the show, let slip that some of the characters who have never previously met in the book will be interacting on the show.
"I think that's going to be very exciting," he said.
He's not the only cast member to hint at what's to come. Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen on the series, answered a Facebook question regarding her character's approaching the Iron Throne.
"I feel like she is getting closer with every episode, let alone every season, so you'll see some of those lessons being learned this season."
Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, suggested that her character will be undergoing major changes this season as well.
"I'd gone through seasons like one through four kind of not being that liked. And then... and I'd done so many crying scenes and quite depressing scenes and it was nice to finally get a scene where I felt like I had a lot of power," Turner said.
Little sister Arya Stark, meanwhile, will be heading down a new path, according to actress Maisie Williams.
"She's been recently stuck on this one emotion to try to get back to her family and to try to put right what was wrong. And I think in the new season we see her try to reject that a little bit and take her life into her own hands."
