What the Franco? Oscar Host Skips Bash. Was He Sick - or Just Sick of Anne?

While most people make excuses to get out of school, James Franco reportedly skipped his own post-Oscar bash in order to get back to class in New York.

Apparently, Franco tweeted his reason for ditching the post ceremony celebration, but critics say it’s hard to believe he couldn’t find a substitute – he is the one who teaches the class.

Perhaps, the answer could actually be the critics.

Franco and co-host Anne Hathaway received high remarks for looking great, but the performance from this pair of Oscar Eye Candy didn’t taste right for audiences. Subtract the first half from Milk-Duds, and that is pretty much what they’ve been labeled.

Hathaway was MIA from the party as well.

Sources say Franco may have been stoned that night, or that the two actually hate each other. However, representatives for both parties deny the rumors.

Chances are Franco was exhausted, after going on 20-hour days, four days in a row.

Case in point: following the Oscars, Franco also tweeted, “Tired” with a link to the following picture - which has received 408 Facebook "Likes" to date.
