Frances Bean Cobain Criticizes Lana Del Rey's Love of Death - Del Rey Responds

Frances Bean Cobain, the daughter of rocker Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, has spoken out against comments made by Lana Del Rey in a recent article in the U.K. tabloid the Guardian.

In the magazine, Del Rey says that young fame is "all bad," and adds, "I wish I was dead already."

The 28-year-old claims Kurt Cobain of Nirvana, who famously killed himself at 27, as one of her heroes.

His daughter used her Twitter to speak out against the interview by the Ultraviolence singer.

"The death of young musicians isn't something to romanticize... I'll never know my dather because he died young & it becomes a desirable feat because ppl like u think it's 'cool.'

"Well it's f**king not. Embrace life, because you only get one life."

Cobain adds that Del Rey is "too talented to waste it away."

After fans of the singer responded angrily to Cobain's criticism, she clarified: "I'm not attacking anyone. I have no animosity toward Lana. I was just trying to put it into perspective from personal experience."

Del Rey, meanwhile, blames the interviewer for misleading her with questions, and has openly regretted her words.

"I didn't want to do an intervew but the journalist was persistent. [He] was masked as a fan, but was hiding sinister ambitions and angles. Maybe he's actually the boring one looking for something interesting to write about."

She adds that her comments were meant only that she admired Kurt Cobain as an artist, not for his suicide.
