Fox Announces 'Family Guy'...the Online Video Game?

Fox Announces 'Family Guy'...the Online Video Game? It's a great day for fans of "Family Guy" and fans of MMORPGs, and an even better day for fans of both. Fox has entered Comic-Con with a big announcement for one of its biggest animated shows...a brand-new online game!

The game, which will launch "exactly later this year," is an online interactive game based on "Family Guy." Fans will be able to create their own character and explore the town of Quahog, Rhode Island, interacting with other fans and most likely a few characters from the show as well.

That's pretty much all the info they're giving right now...it'll be browser-based, 3D, and free to play, so it'll be easy to access and likely have some decent graphics. No word yet on what exactly you'll be doing with your created "Family Guy" character in virtual Quahog, but we can only hope that there will be chicken fights involved. Also, I'd love to kill those vaudeville guys whenever I can get the chance. Yes, I know they're already dead on the show. I want to kill them again.

Though the game won't be out until later this year, you can head over to familyguyonline.com and create your character now. You'll be able to use that character on your Facebook profile to help spread the word, or just for funsies.
