Former 'Hulk' Eric Bana to Play the King in 'Elvis & Nixon'

Eric Bana has played The Incredible Hulk in "Hulk," a bulky hard-assed Australian maniac in "Chopper," and now, he's ready for an unlikely new role as the King of Rock n' Roll. Bana is slated to play Elvis Presley in the upcoming "Elvis & Nixon," directed by Cary Elwes of "The Princess Bride" fame.

The film, which is Elwes directorial debut, captures the strange meeting of Elvis Presley and then-President Richard Nixon on December 21, 1970.

The meeting, which is remembered largely for the absolutely amazing photo it produced, reportedly occurred after Elvis sent Nixon a letter asking if he could become a "Federal Agent-at-Large" in the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs.

During the meeting, the King, clad in his signature cape, reportedly gave the President a gift of a Colt .45 pistol, and showed him family pictures.

Nixon will reportedly be played by "Clash of the Titans" and "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" star Danny Huston.
